  • What sizes are available and how do I pick my size?

    We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate your needs. Sizes range from 5x5, or 25 square feet, to 10x30, or 300 square feet. Our manager is happy to help you determine the best size to meet your needs.

  • What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?

    An outdoor unit has access from outside. An indoor unit is within the property and will require you to go inside to access your unit.

  • Do you have heated units?

    Yes, most of our interior units are heated. This feature helps protect your stored belongings from extreme cold temperatures, and also help keep you comfortable when visiting your unit.

  • What is a drive-up unit?

    A drive-up unit is an outside unit, located on the first floor of a facility that gives you the ability to load your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck.

  • Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle parking?

    Yes. We offer parking for RVs, boats, cars and motorcycles. To store a vehicle, the vehicle must be drivable and we need a copy of the registration or title and insurance on file.

  • Do I need insurance?

    We strongly recommend it. While your items are in storage, they are not covered by the storage location for loss or damage. We strongly recommend that all customers insure their items with an insurance company that specializes in insuring stored goods. Do not assume any existing policy will automatically cover your items in storage. Check with your insurance agent regarding your homeowner’s or renter’s policy coverage.

  • What kind of security do you have?

    We have video cameras and our facility is gated at night. We also have a resident manager on-site.

  • What items cannot be stored?

    You cannot store any hazardous, toxic, or illegal items. No food or perishable items can be stored. If in doubt of what can be stored in our spaces, please ask the manager. Examples of items that cannot be stored: Ammunitions, gasoline, paint thinner, propane, food, produce, plants, fireworks, etc.

  • Do you supply locks?

    We sell them on-site at the Granite Hill Self Storage office or you may bring your own lock. We recommend disk locks or cylinder locks for added protection.

  • What's the difference between office hours and gate hours?

    The office hours are the hours of operation for the property. During these hours, the manager will be available to assist you with your storage or trailer needs. The gate hours are the hours of the property and when your unit can be accessed.

  • Do I have to rent for a certain number of months?

    No. Your lease is on a month-to-month basis with a minimum of one full month.

  • What methods of payment do you accept?

    We accept cash, checks and most major credit cards. Automatic payment plans and ACH payments are also available.

  • Do you offer any discounts or run specials?

    Our pricing is very competitive and typically specials are not necessary. Based on availability, we do offer Military, Senior and Pre-Pay discounts.
